At the time I wrote "confession", I was listening to way too much Lonnie Johnson. Johnson's guitar playing changed my life. Confession's lyrics are a bit sad and resigned. But, then again, so are the blues.

When you slip away, I really don't care where you go When you slip away, I really don't care where you go You may need to tell me girl, but I sure don't need to know Stop your confessing, 'cause I don't care where you been Stop your confessing, 'cause I don't care where you been 'Cause I ain't no preacher man and I ain't judging no sin I don't think it's wrong And I don't think it's right And I don't think I like to think 'Cause then I think all night And I get so lonely It makes me want to cry If you think the truth will hurt me dear You just go ahead and lie I love you baby and I can't even tell you why I love you baby and I can't even tell you why I love you little girl and I'll love you to the day you die
